Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) is seeking candidates for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. The successful candidate will engage in innovative teaching, robust research, and service, contributing to the academic community through the development of a productive research program and involvement in curriculum development.

Develop a productive, externally funded research program
Engage undergraduate and graduate students in research
Contribute to curriculum development and interdisciplinary collaboration for undergraduate and graduate programs
Qualification
Required
A terminal degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, computational mathematics, or closely related field is required by the appointment date
Strong record of publication in areas such as Computational mathematics
Strong record of publication in areas such as Numerical analysis
Strong record of publication in areas such as Mathematical modeling
Strong record of publication in areas such as Mathematical biology, or optimization
Experience supervising student research
Ability to complement and enhance existing department teaching and research programs
Post-doctoral research experience
Demonstrated potential to secure external funding for research or curriculum development
