Responsibilities

Synthesize Insights: Turn customer, market, and competitive insights into actionable recommendations that shape Grindr’s core product experience
Strategic Influence: Partner with Product and Design to guide roadmap priorities and feature development, ensuring that enhancements to the core experience meet user needs and business goals
GTM Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for product launches, including winning naming, messaging, positioning, and campaign narratives. Set goals and metrics for success, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution
Lifecycle Impact: Drive strategies across the full user journey — from awareness and onboarding to engagement, reactivation, and retention
Problem-Solving: Tackle complex challenges with a strategic mindset, creating thoughtful recommendations and action plans
Measure Success: Define KPIs, track adoption and engagement metrics, evaluate campaign performance, and continuously iterate to maximize product and marketing impact

Required

8+ years of experience delivering successful go-to-market, engagement, and growth strategies, with 5+ years specifically in product marketing, ideally within the tech or dating app industry
Proactive, collaborative, and a master of simplification. You continually push towards clarity and driving delivery of strong results
Hard-working, detail-oriented, and organized. You thrive in challenging environments and are undeterred by complexity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting and sharing work with executive leadership. Strong interpersonal skills to influence and motivate people at all levels across various functions
Ability to distill the essence of complex products and convey the value they create. You can develop a strong messaging hierarchy, effective strategies, and impactful go-to-market plans
Deep understanding of the customer lifecycle — from acquisition and onboarding through engagement, retention, and reactivation — with the ability to design marketing strategies that maximize user value at every stage
Outstanding ability to use data to craft insightful stories, inform strategies, and guide decision-making

Preferred

Excel at cross-functional partnership, bringing clear insights and persuasive storytelling to Product, Engineering, and Design conversations to shape the roadmap and elevate the core experience
Leverage modern tools with ease, using platforms like Braze for lifecycle messaging and Figma for creative collaboration to execute campaigns that resonate
Bring relevant industry perspective, with prior experience in the dating, social, or consumer app space — understanding what drives user connection and engagement
Have a data-informed mindset, comfortable turning metrics and experimentation into actionable strategies that improve the user journey
Thrive in fast-paced environments, embracing ambiguity, simplifying complexity, and driving clarity across teams
Champion the user voice, translating customer needs into product and marketing strategies that balance empathy with business impact
