Responsibilities
Report on daily news assignments and contribute to daily enterprise content
Collaborate with photographers, producers, management, and assignment desk to deliver top quality news reports
Shoot and edit stories when called upon
Establish and maintain sources in the community, government, and law enforcement
Support positive newsroom culture, collaborate and foster and environment of integrity
Participate in community and promotional events
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum three years' on-air experience
Bachelor's degree in Broadcast journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Strong journalistic background, superior on-air presence, and excellent writing skills
Ability to handle constructive criticism and perform under pressure
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
Positive collaboration with colleagues and effective interaction with the public
Excellent news judgment with an expansive knowledge of local and national current events, history, newsmakers, and issues
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Candidates must have a solid resume reel showcasing breaking news live reporting, and well thought out packages
Preferred
Previous anchoring experience is beneficial
