Foundations - Project Engineer - Gulf Coast
Kiewit is a full-service geotechnical foundation contractor operating across North America. They are seeking motivated and skilled Project Engineers to manage the administrative and technical aspects of construction projects in the Gulf Coast region, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards while collaborating with project teams.

Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of foundation construction projects
Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other team members to ensure project success
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
Prepare and review project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and reports
Troubleshoot and resolve project-related issues
Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to project specifications
Perform scheduling of the project
Manage revenue, cost, and cash flow
Oversee temporary engineering and permanent design management
Ensure quality control
Handle project closeout and client relations
Assist in operations planning
Administer contracts and subcontracts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent)
5+ years of work experience in construction or engineering
Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles
Experience managing engineers
Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
Proficiency in project management software and tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives
Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
Passion for safety, with the ability to help ensure that nobody gets hurt
Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
Willingness to travel and relocate within the Gulf Coast region as needed
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
Preferred
Preferably, experience with augered cast-in-place (ACIP) piles is required, though not required
