Responsibilities
Manage consulting firms for tasks such as permit applications, construction plans, site monitoring, and regulatory submissions
Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators; represent the organization in meetings, hearings, and inspections
Oversee landfill construction projects, including contract administration, quality assurance, and budgeting
Monitor landfill capacity, prepare airspace calculations, and coordinate fill sequencing plans
Conduct regular site evaluations to ensure compliance and identify expansion opportunities
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational, environmental, and compliance challenges
Participate in acquisitions and divestitures, offering proforma modeling and due diligence support
Mentor technical staff, fostering professional growth within the team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Chemical, Environmental preferred)
5+ years of related engineering experience
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including remote locations
Ability to lead diverse teams and work independently or collaboratively
Landfill experience
Construction project management
Knowledge of environmental regulations
