Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients an Echocardiograph Technologist in Portland, Oregon. The role involves performing cardiac ultrasound examinations and assisting physicians with invasive echocardiography procedures while ensuring compliance with professional standards.

Responsibilities

Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment

Objectively identifies the presence of or absence of disease utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology

Assists physicians with more invasive echocardiography examinations including, but not limited to, Transesophageal echocardiography, Trans-catheter echo guided procedures (location specific), pericardiocentesis, echo guided myocardial biopsies (location specific), contrast enhanced exams, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography

Has the ability to modify procedures, to meet special circumstances and/or provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis

Will comply with the standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and departmental policies and procedures

Requires shared coverage for stand by and call back emergency studies in the evenings and weekends

May include shared regional coverage to other Portland facilities and or rotation through staffed weekend shifts
