Responsibilities
Designing, building, and deploying AI/ML models with real-world business impact
Taking full ownership of projects from ideation to production and iteration
Collaborating across the tech stack — backend to frontend — to integrate ML into product features
Working closely with leadership and cross-functional partners to identify high-leverage opportunities
Constantly iterating and optimizing for speed, performance, and impact in a high-growth environment
Qualification
Required
0–15 years of professional experience as an AI/ML Engineer, Applied Scientist, or similar role
Proven experience deploying machine learning solutions into production environments
Strong product sense with an ability to think through real-world tradeoffs
Background working at high-quality startups or top-tier companies (e.g., Stripe, Square, Scale AI)
Track record of owning projects end-to-end, including infrastructure, modeling, and post-launch iteration
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or related technical field (top-tier schools preferred)
Former founders are highly valued
Preferred
Familiarity with modern AI tooling and frameworks: LLM APIs, PyTorch, TensorFlow
Full-stack development skills: Python, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL
Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, especially Kubernetes
Exceptional communication skills and a low-ego, collaborative mindset
Recognition in top student programs (e.g., Pear Fellow, Neo Scholar) is a plus
