Responsibilities
Collaborate with producers in the newsroom to craft compelling stories
Transform stories from a simple pitch into a hit that inspires and delights viewers
Work with colleagues in a collaborative environment
Connect with neighbors as you dig into the issues that matter to your local community
Tell stories across platforms including TV, connected television, and digital
Qualification
Required
Experience: Television news - 0-2 years
Education: High school diploma
Technical Skills: Knowledge of current events, social media, and industry trends
Skills: Ability to collaborate, news writing skills, and attention to detail
Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
Schedule: Ability to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, comparable television work experience preferred
Working knowledge of general office computer software, newsroom software and basic non-linear editing systems
May be required to lift up to five pounds
