Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents
Manage the calendaring and scheduling for the Managing Partner, ensuring all deadlines and appointments are met
Coordinate case follow-ups, ensuring all case milestones and client needs are addressed promptly
Prepare and file documents in federal court, with a strong understanding of federal procedures and deadlines
Handle noticing and filing for various legal proceedings
Provide general administrative support, including correspondence, document management, and client communication
Qualification
Required
Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a fast-paced law firm environment
Strong experience in litigation is required
Experience in maritime law and insurance defense is a plus
Must have experience with federal court filings, noticing, and adhering to federal procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal research tools, and case management software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities
