Responsibilities
Provide in-depth structural assessment and forensic investigations of structural failures
Conduct Finite Element Analysis to assess the structural integrity of various projects
Develop and evaluate complex structural models using FEA software
Conduct advanced analysis of equipment, systems and structures using finite element codes
Perform static, dynamic, and thermal analyses on structures and components
Conduct design review, structural monitoring, and material evaluation
Analyze results, providing recommendations for design improvements
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other service divisions to develop innovative engineering solutions
Assist in the resolution of technical claims/disputes
Write/Prepare technical reports and documentation for project findings and deliverables
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory codes – buildings, structures, site work, and safety
Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager
Qualification
Required
10-20 years with structural and finite element project experience
Bachelors in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master of Science degree preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
Proven experience in performing Finite Element Analysis in a professional setting
Knowledge and experience using FEA software and element codes (SAP, ANSYS, STRUDL, ROHR, etc.)
Experience using measurement devices
Knowledge of industry codes, standard, and regulations
Strong understanding of structural mechanics, material properties, and engineering principles
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to travel to client meetings and project site visits
Preferred
Master of Science degree
Professional Engineer (PE) license
