School Psychologist (Part Time)

Focused Staffing Group is seeking licensed school psychologists to conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. The role involves providing counseling, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with educators and parents to support student well-being and academic success.

Responsibilities

Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths, needs, and areas for growth
Interpret test results and data to develop individualized recommendations and interventions
Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings and recommendations
Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, behavioral, and social issues
Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies to support students' mental health and academic achievement
Assist in the development and implementation of behavior management programs and crisis intervention plans
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and external agencies to support student learning and well-being
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Section 504 plan meetings
Provide consultation and training to staff and parents on topics related to child development, learning, and mental health
Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide programs that promote positive behavior, mental health, and academic success
Advocate for students' needs and work to remove barriers to learning and success
Stay current with research and best practices in school psychology, participating in professional development as needed

Qualification

Required

Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field
Valid certification as a School Psychologist or eligibility for certification
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple tasks effectively

Preferred

Previous experience in a school setting is preferred
Proficiency in conducting assessments, interpreting data, and developing intervention plans
