4P Consulting Inc. is seeking a motivated GIS Technician to assist in managing and maintaining spatial data systems for Georgia Power’s Land Department. This entry-level position will support various GIS-related tasks including data entry, map creation, QA/QC, and database maintenance.

Responsibilities

Assist with data entry, updates, and QA/QC in GIS databases
Support spatial data maintenance and integration across systems
Create maps and exhibits to support land acquisition and project updates
Combine data from multiple sources for cartographic products
Produce feasibility and project update maps
Attend training to develop proficiency in GIS tools and standards
Assist senior GIS Analysts in larger project initiatives

Qualification

ESRI ArcGISGeoprocessing skillsCartographic skillsEnterprise GIS databasesData visualizationMap productionPositive attitudeOrganizational skillsWritten communicationVerbal communicationTeam-orientedAdaptability

Required

1-2 years of experience in a GIS environment
Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS software, including ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro
Basic geoprocessing and cartographic skills
Understanding of metadata and QA/QC processes
Proficient in data visualization and map production
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Strong organizational and workload management skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team-oriented and customer-focused
Adaptable and able to work under pressure

Preferred

Experience working with enterprise GIS databases
Exposure to ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal or ArcServer
