Human Services Program Consultant II - Temporary

Responsibilities

Deliver training to child welfare DSS staff statewide
Facilitate discussions about child welfare practice and policy with child welfare staff
Develop and make presentations that meet the needs of training participants
Develop and maintain strong relationships with child welfare staff to meet training needs
Assist county staff with technical assistance to promote accountability

Qualification

Required

Master's degree in a discipline relative to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of related experience; or Bachelor's degree in a discipline relative to the program area from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

Working knowledge of the North Carolina child welfare system, specifically Child Protective Services and/or Permanency Planning
Experience in delivering training to child welfare staff
Experience in facilitating discussions about child welfare practice and policy with child welfare staff
Experience in developing and making presentations that meet the needs of training participants
Experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with child welfare staff to meet training needs
Demonstrated use of communication skills when assisting county staff with technical assistance to promote accountability
