Laborer Wireless II
Pauley Construction LLC is a regional contractor providing infrastructure solutions for utility systems. They are seeking a Laborer Wireless II to support the installation, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic and small cell wireless networks, performing various construction duties under supervision.

Responsibilities
Perform all work in a safe manner to ensure the safety of yourself, team members, customers, and the public
Respond promptly to network outages, service impairments, and emergencies within the assigned area
Complete all required preventative maintenance inspections in compliance with company standards
Assist with the installation, turn-up, testing, and provisioning of SONET, DWDM, and Ethernet equipment in an optical fiber network with minimal supervision
Operate and understand test equipment related to fiber optics, SONET/Ethernet, and RF/Small Cell, including Network Tester, OTDR, Optical Power Meter, Multimeter, Spectrum Analyzer, PIM Analyzer, Signal Generator, and Fusion Splicer
Analyze and troubleshoot network issues, supporting the NOC and customers as needed
Perform site surveys and quality inspections to ensure remote locations meet company standards
Conduct hardware and software updates on network and small cell equipment with minimal supervision
Access and manage network nodes and CPE devices using PCs or other electronic devices
Work effectively with cross-functional teams and support departments to ensure project completion and operational excellence
Participate in on-call rotation, including nights and weekends, as needed
Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, compliance, and ethics
Operate and work around heavy equipment and machinery safely and responsibly
Perform general construction duties such as digging, trenching, loading/unloading, setting conduit, and site cleanup
Climb in and out of trucks, backhoes, trenchers, and other construction equipment as needed
Assist in the installation and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling
Climb towers and operate lifts as needed to install antennas and lines, including the fitting of connectors and sealing of joints
Assemble antenna and support materials, using rigging hardware and power tools to complete installations
Mount antenna support systems and perform tasks such as concrete placement and setting of ice bridge posts
Maintain clear communication with crew members and follow visual/audible signals to ensure coordination and safety
Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs or more
Clean tools, equipment, and work areas using appropriate materials and cleaning methods
Read and understand technical manuals and follow detailed instructions
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers to complete assigned tasks professionally and efficiently

Qualification
Required
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening
Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed
May be required to work over-time; after hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed
May include working nights and holidays as needed
May be required to travel in state or overnight as necessary to meet business needs
Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position
Preferred
Experience with one or more of the following – RF, Ethernet, Sonet, Video or fiber optic testing
Technical knowledge of Fiber, Coax and Low voltage trouble shooting preferred
Successful completion of technical training program for RF or Telecommunications preferred
Possess a valid Standard Driver's License; Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
Basic knowledge of and ability to safely operate various types of utility trucks and construction equipment
Proficient in the safe use of hand tools and small power equipment commonly used in utility and telecom construction
Previous experience in the utility construction or telecommunications industry is a plus
Ability to read and interpret construction prints and utility maps, including identifying the type and size of underground utilities
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers, crew members, and supervisors
Physically able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed, with or without assistance
Willingness and availability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergency or on-call assignments as required
Committed to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, following all safety standards and company policies
Able to work outdoors in varying and extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) and in both urban and remote areas
Ability to climb, kneel, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
