Responsibilities
Cover classes and or assist teachers in specific subject areas
Prepare instructional materials
Coordinate classroom activities and follow lesson plans
Assist with lesson plans
Provide classroom instruction
Facilitate on-line classes and HiSET coursework
Record behavior and academic progress notes
Work collaboratively with subject matter teachers to provide instructional services to students
Provide student feedback through progress notes
Qualification
Required
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma
One year of experience working with students in an educational environment
Basic knowledge of MS Word, PPT, Excel and Outlook
Ability to manage small group activities
Ability to work with diverse youth population
Ability to establish rapport with students in the program and their families
Ability to follow/implement teacher lesson plans
Ability to provide an environment favorable to learning
