Responsibilities
Handle all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
Represent clients in environmental litigation, insurance defense, and other high-stakes litigation matters
Appear in court, take and defend depositions, and participate in mediations and arbitrations
Develop and execute effective litigation strategies while communicating clearly with clients and carriers
Analyze complex legal and factual issues
Independently manage a diverse litigation caseload, with support from a collaborative team
Stay current on developments in insurance defense, environmental, and commercial litigation
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to the New York State Bar
5–10 years of litigation experience
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in legal research tools and technology
