Responsibilities

Lead tax technology efforts, processing and reviewing tax deliverables, including system implementations and ongoing maintenance
Interact with product stakeholders and engineering to drive automation opportunities, define the scope, and execute and implement tax products
Maintain a system of internal controls and documentation to support the tax technology tools

Qualification

Tax technologyCPA licenseAutomation technologiesTax softwareAnalytical skillsProblem solvingCommunication skillsOrganizational skillsAttention to detail

Required

Willingness to work hard and drive objectives to completion autonomously
Experience preparing and reviewing complex 1040 tax returns with precision
Strong attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills
Track record of completing work on-time
Enthusiasm for tax, with deep technical and tax research skills
Interest in automation and implementing technical systems
Interest in working with engineers and product managers
Ability to proactively identify automation opportunities, define the scope and execute
Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred

Experience implementing automation technologies or tax software at accounting firms
Experience at a Big 4 or top 10 accounting firm
Active CPA license
