Washington Radiology is a service-based organization dedicated to excellence in medical imaging care for over 70 years. They are seeking a Mammography Technologist PRN to assist in intricate mammography examinations and provide patient education regarding preventative breast health.

Responsibilities

Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies

Produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate

Effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health

Maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills

Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees

Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique

Complete appropriate documentation

Perform quality control functions related to mammography

Assist in the compilation and maintenance of statistical data

Promote privacy and comfort for the patient

Qualification

Maryland State LicenseARRT in Mammography certificationRadiologic Technology degreeMQSA/FDA CEUsDiagnostic procedures experienceCustomer service skillsCommunication skills

Required

Maryland State License

Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience

Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology

Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years

Preferred

Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies
