IR Technologist

They are seeking an IR Technologist responsible for setting up interventional radiology rooms, ensuring high-quality imaging, and providing excellent patient care during procedures.

Responsibilities
Prepares room and patient specific to the exam to be performed
Arranges equipment, trays, supplies, position patients, and determine proper exposure factors to produce a high-quality image
Utilizes electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, appropriate exam, and any special exam specific comments from the provider
Understands and practices the Dual patient identifier procedure
Observes each patient’s status and interprets appropriate information needed to meet age-specific needs
Transfers patients to and from imaging tables using assistive devices such as ARJO lift, transfer boards, hover mats
Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly identifying images and ensuring images are sent to PACS system correctly
Completes and bills for studies accurately
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology required
CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist - current NYS licensure upon hire required
ARRT Radiography Certification with CE credits upon hire required
Preferred
1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
