Electrical Engineering Co-Op (Summer/Fall 2026) (Onsite)

The Electrical Engineering Co-op position is designed for Industrial, Mechanical, or Process Engineering students to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing, focusing on problem-solving, process improvement, and collaboration with design engineering.

Responsibilities
Responsible for technical problem definition and solution in a manufacturing environment. Acts as liaison with design engineering on incorporating changes to designs to improve manufacturability
Develop tools that enable manufacturing, aid process improvement or address safety concerns. Frequent use of general/technical knowledge and industry/functional practices, techniques and standards
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control through the application of Lean principles
Supports Lean/Six Sigma initiatives including 5S, Waste Reduction, and Flow Improvements
Plans and designs facilities and layout for manufacturing processes and equipment, taking into account economic factors, process flow, operator efficiency and comfort
Determines proper flow and sequence of material for efficient build process
Eliminate/reduce defects and improve test yields. Perform root cause analysis and take corrective action to resolve failures
Qualification
Required
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company's immigration sponsorship now or in the future
Good written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn and ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment
