Responsibilities

Design and produce marketing materials to promote Teachers College to prospective students across print, digital, web, email, and other platforms
Create visually appealing media that effectively communicate the unique value propositions of the College
Pitch designs for and produce digital advertising and paid media assets, based on current best practices, design trends, and platform specifications
Produce promotional items, presentations, and brochures for stakeholders in Enrollment Management and/or TC’s academic departments
Ensure consistency in branding and visual identity across all enrollment marketing materials
Manage and implement the College’s central brand standards
Identify the most commonly used materials and develop brand-compliant templates
Train EM units on brand compliance, as needed
Commission or produce original assets as needed (illustration, animation, etc.), offer creative direction and feedback, and manage vendors throughout the production process
Plan and oversee photo and video shoots, retouch photos, and organize photo, video, and design files to make accessing them efficient and intuitive
Manage vendors and freelancers responsible for producing marketing materials on time and on budget

Required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communications Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media Design, or an equivalent combination of education and training
4 or more years of professional experience
Experience adhering to and creatively implementing brand standards
Ability to receive, interpret, and incorporate feedback
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Proficiency in Google Suite, including Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets
Experience making templates for implementation by others
Experience designing for paid media, including ad creative
Extensive experience liaising with and managing external vendors for printing, producing promotional items, photoshoots, and mailings
Established record of collaboration and strong interpersonal and communication skills while working independently, with external stakeholders, and as part of a team
Attention to and knowledge of trademark, copyright, and accessibility standards
Ability to design a comprehensive set of assets at scale while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Ability to produce and follow creative briefs
Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines

Preferred

Prior experience in non-profit, higher education, or agency settings
Experience or familiarity with multiple modes of art and design, including photography, illustration, UX, video, and/or motion graphics
Experience making data-driven creative decisions through A/B testing, UX testing, and market research
