Sr. Architectural Designer
Barry-Wehmiller is a diversified global supplier of engineering consulting and manufacturing technology. They are seeking a Sr. Architectural Designer to work with a team of industry experts to support capital projects and implement architectural solutions for clients in the food, beverage, and life sciences industries.

Responsibilities
Work under a licensed architect to assist in the design of architectural solutions as part of an integrated project team
Assist in the development of architectural plans and models and communicate requirements to designers in our other engineering disciplines
Lead designers from multiple disciplines in coordinating projects and producing construction drawings
Produce schematic design drawings and construction document drawing packages utilizing REVIT and AutoCAD
Design processing spaces for the food, beverage, or life sciences industries
Review submittals and RFIs
Assist the customer and project manager to define the facility requirements/program including developing an understanding of the customer’s production flow and space environmental needs
Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team
Qualification
Required
A minimum of twelve years of experience in architectural design assisting in the production of construction drawings
Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD software
Architectural designer production skills using Revit
Experience with 3D architectural modeling, rendering, and BIM
Experience with 3D software for design such as ArchiCAD, FreeCAD, Sketchup, or Archimedes
Basic computer and software skills including MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
A willingness to become trained and proficient in the Revit environment
The ability to create and assemble a complete set of architectural construction documents
A Bachelor of Architecture, a two-to-four-year architectural technology degree, or a technical certification from an architecture CAD/designer training program
Preferred
Experience with food and beverage manufacturing and distribution facilities
Experience with industrial, life science, and pharmaceutical buildings
Experience in the bio-life sciences, material handling, logistics, or the food and beverage industries
A willingness to relocate to the local to the area (relocation assistance may be available for highly qualified applicants)
A willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
