Flight Control Law Engineer (Summer 2026 Internship)
Reliable Robotics is building safety-enhancing technology for aviation that aims to transform air transportation. As a Flight Control Law Engineering Intern, you will support the design, implementation, integration, and testing of flight control laws for autonomous flight systems.

Responsibilities
Design, analyze and implement ground and flight control laws for gate-to-gate aircraft operation
Develop and refine simulation models required for control system verification
Perform linear analysis of control laws to evaluate stability, robustness, and performance
Integrate and verify control system features in software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test environments
Develop flight test plans and conduct post-test data review
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an undergraduate program in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, robotics engineering, or similar field of study
A solid understanding of fundamentals -- engineering math, kinematics, dynamics, and classical control theory
Proficient in C++ and Python
Proactive and motivated to tackle hard problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Currently enrolled in a graduate program in aerospace engineering, robotics engineering, electrical engineering, or similar advanced degree
Experience in one or more of the following areas: Aircraft modeling and dynamics, control theory, optimization
Experience developing software for safety critical applications
