Establish independent, externally funded research programs

Required

Doctorate in a relevant discipline from an accredited university
Demonstrated potential to develop a dynamic, nationally-recognized, and externally-funded research program
Involvement in publishing in highly regarded peer-reviewed scientific journals

Preferred

Track record of research productivity in atmospheric sciences, including but not limited to atmospheric chemistry and composition, mechanisms of climate change, weather and climate extremes, cloud dynamics, and microphysics
Experience with the impact of climate change on air quality and human health
Use of high-performance computing, AI, and machine learning approaches to advance understanding of the earth system and the effects of climate change
Experience and commitment to advancing atmospheric and climate science research
