Payroll Specialist

The role involves ensuring accurate and timely payments for hourly craft employees while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations.

Responsibilities
Process field payroll, the computation of pay, and associated deductions for accuracy
Responsible for accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of payroll
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, local and federal legislation affecting payroll and understands and follows applicable provisions
Complete monthly union fringe reports
Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting
Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Accounting or a related field
2 years in a union construction payroll position preferred
Excellent customer service skills
An eye for detail and an analytical mindset
Ability to take initiative and problem solve independently
