Responsibilities
Establish independent, externally funded research programs
Mentor and supervise postdoctoral researchers, graduate/undergraduate students, and research technicians
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
Publish research findings in highly regarded peer-reviewed journals
Qualification
Required
Doctorate in a relevant discipline from an accredited university
Demonstrated potential to develop a dynamic, nationally-recognized, and externally-funded research program
Experience and commitment to advancing climate and coastal science research
Strong track record of research productivity in climate and coastal science
Preferred
Expertise in climate change impacts on coastal and marine environments
Expertise in coupled social-environmental systems
Expertise in human-induced alterations to coastal environments
Expertise in oceanography
Expertise in coastal habitat restoration
Expertise in marine biodiversity conservation
Expertise in sustainable fisheries/aquaculture
Expertise in marine spatial planning
Interdisciplinary research that integrates natural and social science perspectives on coastal resilience and marine resource management
