Responsibilities

Prepare and review complex partnership tax returns, including tiered structures and multi-state filings

Lead preparation of Schedule K-1s and ensure accurate reporting for fund investors

Review tax returns prepared by Staff and provide detailed feedback and mentorship

Prepare and review income tax projections, quarterly estimates, and tax planning strategies for fund clients

Conduct technical tax research and draft memoranda on issues related to Section 704(b), 754 elections, carried interest, and fund structuring

Analyze book-to-tax differences and prepare supporting workpapers for fund entities

Identify and resolve tax issues related to capital contributions, distributions, and waterfall allocations

Build strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor on fund-related tax matters

Communicate professionally with federal and state tax authorities regarding notices and inquiries

Participate in training and development programs, both as a learner and a facilitator

Required

CPA or CPA eligibility required

4+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally in public accounting

Strong technical knowledge of partnership taxation, flow-through entities, and fund structures

Proficiency in tax software (e.g., GoSystems, CCH Axcess) and Excel

Excellent communication, project management, and client service skills

Preferred

Experience with venture capital, private equity, or asset management is highly preferred
