Responsibilities
Development, implementation, evaluation, and supervision of behavior treatment and training programs for individuals with significant intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
Completion of psychological evaluations and functional assessments and diagnosis assignment
Prepare data analysis and monitoring restrictive programs
Maintain knowledge of and adherence to applicable policies and regulations
Participation in the interdisciplinary process
Engage in direct client contacts and therapy
Conduct staff training
Qualification
Required
Eligibility for licensure in North Carolina under the provisions of the NC Psychology Practice Act (G.S. 90-270)
Two years of professional psychological experience, one of which must be postdoctoral
Preferred
Maintain awareness of current psychological practice through review of literature and attending workshops
Thorough knowledge of the special needs of the emotionally and socially distressed, intellectually and developmentally disabled, and disadvantaged
Thorough knowledge of principles of therapeutic intervention, including behavior modification
Thorough knowledge of objective psychological, educational and developmental tests
Advanced skill in the proper application and interpretation of those tests, and in preparing and presenting reports
