Accounting Supervisor (on-site)

Transportation Partners & Logistics is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join their accounting team. The role involves ensuring financial information is recorded accurately and leading a team of accountants while overseeing various accounting functions such as general ledger and accounts payable.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports
Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries as assigned during the close process for multiple legal entities. Ensures transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed and supported in accordance with company policies and controls
Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of recorded transactions
Supervise daily cash functions
Prepare and/or review multiple balance sheet account reconciliations for each legal entity
Oversee company credit card functions
Assist with the Company’s ERP implementation
Provide variance analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts for management reporting purposes
Regularly preforms an internal audit to identify miscoded activity; create reclass entries with proper documentation to correct
Support special projects and assist others as needed
Review current processes and provide recommendations for improvement
Set priorities and goals for group and individual staff members and is responsible for providing training and coaching to the staff

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting required
5+ years of professional accounting experience required
1-3 years of supervisory experience required
Working knowledge of accounting systems (D365 preferred)
Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Highly motivated and team-oriented individual
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
Proficient with MS Office applications
Excellent organization skills
Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods
