The Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern will work alongside employees on projects impacting the business, focusing on creating standard work, conducting time studies, and developing process flows.

Responsibilities

Create a Standard Work for every position in plant

Conduct time studies on every position in the plant

Create a balance Chart for every line in the plant

Creating process flows

Process mapping

Creating layouts

Test equipment design/improvement

Non-conforming material inspection, auditing and test processes

Required

Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited school. Must have completed Sophomore year coursework to be eligible

Experience in data interpretation/manipulation via MS Excel, specifically creating Pivot Tables and Pareto Charts

Experience with AutoCad, Inventor, or Solid works will be an advantage

Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required, although a demonstrable interest in industrial processes will be evaluated during the interview process. Students with any level of experience are encouraged to apply

Interns will work in office and shop floor environments with extended periods of sitting and standing. Must be able to communicate and engage with employees on the shop floor. Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
