Responsibilities
Advise Apple’s engineering, business and government affairs teams on complex regulatory issues, with a focus on artificial intelligence regulation
Analyze the applicability of regulations to various Apple products and services
Manage and coordinate the internal work streams within Apple Legal
Interact with regulators and other external stakeholders
Collaborate with other legal groups, Apple government affairs and cross-functional business and engineering teams
Advise Apple management on risk allocation/mitigation, business strategies, and policies
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience on regulatory matters, such as AI laws, privacy and data-related laws, and other digital regulations at major law firms, in-house or regulatory authorities
Experience interpreting AI regulation and other European and U.S. regulations is a plus
JD or equivalent and admission to at least once US state bar
Preferred
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to advise and build relationships with executive management, teammates, and cross-functional partners
Strong analytical skills and business sense with the ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
Ability to develop and facilitate collaboration by cultivating relationships and effectively counseling and communicating with legal and cross-functional partners
Self-starter who is curious, loves technology, and thrives in a dynamic environment
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume of projects
