Flight Navigation Engineer (Internship)

Reliable Robotics Corporation is building safety-enhancing technology for aviation that will save lives. As a Navigation intern, you will support autonomous flight systems by designing, implementing, and testing navigation systems alongside experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and test navigation flight software
Improve simulation sensor models for evaluation of the navigation system
Build infrastructure for automated simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing of navigation sensors and algorithms
Integrate and verify navigation system features in software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test environments
Develop flight test plans and conduct post-test data review

Required

Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an undergraduate program in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent practical experience
A solid understanding of fundamentals -- engineering math, numerical methods, and state estimation
Proficient in any of C/C++/Python
Proactive and motivated to tackle hard problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Currently enrolled in a graduate program in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or similar advanced degree
Experience in one or more of the following areas: sensor fusion and Kalman filtering, GNSS navigation, inertial navigation
