Reporting to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging this positions operates all nuclear equipment leading to the diagnosis of designated portions of the body as ordered by physician
The technologist then instructs the patient of all nuclear medicine procedures, protocols, as well as preps
The technologist is responsible for proper computer operation and computer knowledge, use of gamma and SPEC T software, and provides the best patient care possible to enhance quality and professionalism in their tasks
Qualification
Required
Certification by the California Department of Health Services and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT and CRT) required
Certificate of Nuclear Medicine Technologists required
Current BLS (CPR) certificate required
One (1) year experience in Nuclear Medicine required
Preferred
I.V. Certification for contrast injections preferred
