Responsibilities

Leading the differentiation of hPSCs into cortical neurons and astrocytes
Generating and maintaining 3D midbrain organoids for disease modeling and functional assays
Designing and executing assays to evaluate lysosomal activity, polyamine distribution, and α-synuclein accumulation (e.g., DQ-BSA assay, LAMP1 staining, ICC)
Performing confocal imaging, molecular biology (qPCR, Western blot), and image-based phenotyping
Supervising and mentoring junior lab members, including graduate students, research technicians, and interns
Managing experimental timelines, data integrity, and regulatory compliance
Developing and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for stem cell and organoid workflows
Leading experimental planning and data analysis using ImageJ, CellProfiler, Prism, and/or R
Preparing manuscripts, figures, and presentations for scientific publications and conferences
Collaborating with the principal investigator on grant proposals, experimental strategy, and lab-wide initiatives

Required

A recent Ph.D. graduate with demonstrated experience in any of the following fields: cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, and developmental/stem cell biology, bioengineering
Experience in the following research areas: iPSC cell culture and differentiation; molecular and cell biology; CRISPR, bioengineering, confocal microscopy; calcium imaging and optogenetics; mouse models; computational biology, single cell/nuclei RNAseq
4-5 years of experience
