Intern 2026 - Construction Project Management (Sealaska)

Sealaska is the Alaska Native regional corporation for Southeast Alaska, and they are seeking a Construction Project Management Intern to gain hands-on experience in construction management. The intern will work alongside project managers on various projects, including federal contracting, and will assist in building a new school in the Navajo Nation.

Responsibilities

Apply project and construction management best practices
Work alongside project managers on federal contracting in the construction sector
Support the construction group in project estimating, planning, as-built drawings, scheduling, and documentation
We will provide the training and guidance necessary to successfully complete assigned tasks, and you will be up close and personal with the process
Travel to construction sites and carry out site-specific projects
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Familiar with Microsoft Office software applications, including Excel and Word

Must be a Sealaska shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Ability to travel as needed
Must be 18 years old at time of hire
Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary school/program or a recent graduate (1-2 years)
Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

Major/minor in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
At least a 2.5 GPA
Strong critical thinking and research skills
Self-starter with ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
