Wheatland Bank, a growing financial institution, is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer to develop new commercial loan business and manage a portfolio of assigned commercial loans. The role involves interviewing clients, conducting credit analysis, and ensuring the timely processing of loan requests while serving as a representative for banking clients.

Responsibilities

Develop new business by meeting with current and prospective commercial customers within the target market

Meet with applicants to obtain information; compile and analyze data for loan requests; submit applications to credit analysts for preparation of financial analysis and approval recommendations

Recommend products and services to potential borrowers and handle inquiries from applicants including explanation of the loan requirements and process

Screen loan requests based on bank policies and procedures and on types of loans offered

Prepare and present loan proposals and packages in accordance with bank standards for presentation to senior management, loan committee and the board of directors

Confer and work closely with Loan Assistants and the Credit Analyst to expeditiously decision loan requests

Monitor existing loan portfolio to maintain a high-quality credit culture

Becomes a brand ambassador in the Community and volunteers in local organizations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Finance, Administration or related field

Or a minimum of 5 years of similar or related financial industry experience
