The Neurodiagnostic Technologist II will perform routine and complex EEG procedures, maintain patient safety, and participate in the education of junior technologists while working under departmental supervision.

Performs procedures appropriate to the competence and credentials of a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, including advanced procedures

Maintains continuing education and competencies in EEG and other credentialed modalities; Acquires new competencies relative to industry standards in Neurodiagnostics for EEG and other credentialed modalities

Participates in education and orientation of junior technologists and EEG students

Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduation from an ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET) Commission accredited Neurodiagnostic (END) Program, or, An Associates degree or higher from an accredited college or university in healthcare/science, or, Training in EEG at an Accredited Health Care Facility or clinic

Three years EEG experience in a patient care environment

Well-developed pc and Microsoft Windows knowledge

Effective communication skills, hard worker, and a team player

Credentials in EEG, R.EEG T. from ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET)

Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association

Cert Exam Neuro Inter Monitor OR Registration of EEG Tech OR Registered EP Technologist - Required

Basic Life Support - Required

Evoked Potentials (R. EP. T.) from ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET), Nerve Conduction (R. NCV. T.) from the Amercian Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET), Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) from ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET), Long-Term Monitoring (CLTM) from ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET)
