Dewberry is a leading professional services firm seeking a Senior Structures/Project Engineer (Bridge) to join their structures department in Rancho Cordova, CA. The successful candidate will design bridges and transportation-related structures while leading multidisciplinary teams and supporting project development.

Responsibilities

Design simple and complex bridges (primarily of concrete and steel construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other miscellaneous structures)
Lead and develop Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages
Conduct field inspections and perform construction design support services
Serve as the technical lead on multidisciplinary teams
Coordinate utilities and conduct right-of-way needs assessments
Prepare funding justifications and other items needed for project development

California Professional Engineer LicenseBridge design experienceCADD proficiencyAASHTO LRFD familiarityMS Office proficiencyCommunication skillsLeadership skills

Required

Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering from an accredited 4-year engineering college is required
California Professional Engineer (PE) License is required
10-15 years of experience in bridge and retaining wall projects
Experience designing transportation related structures projects to Caltrans and local agency standards
Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications with Caltrans Amendments
Familiarity with Project Engineering and Project Development to Caltrans and local agency standards
Proficiency using CADD (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred)
Proficient in MS Office (WORD and EXCEL)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership skills and desire to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients

Master's degree is preferred
