They are seeking students enrolled in a Master's or Bachelor's program in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, and related fields for an internship opportunity at their Pinchot Gardens location, focusing on hands-on experience in substance abuse treatment and mental health services.

Responsibilities

Group facilitation and co-leading therapeutic sessions

Client outreach, including connecting past clients to continued care such as Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)Assessment

Engagement with individuals experiencing substance use disorders

Learning and applying Motivational Interviewing and the Stages of Change model

Exposure to trauma-informed, client-centered care in a residential setting

Required

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a supervised field instruction class graduate level i.e. Social Work, Counseling

Interest in Behavioral Health – Passion for learning about substance use disorders, mental health, and trauma-informed care

Adaptability – Able to adjust to the dynamic nature of residential treatment and client needs

Basic Knowledge of Counseling Concepts – Familiarity with or interest in learning Motivational Interviewing and the Stages of Change

Initiative and Curiosity – Eager to learn, ask questions, and engage in hands-on experiences

Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role
