Responsibilities

Possess the ability to install, configure and maintain Operating Systems

Manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates and enhancements Conduct testing, troubleshooting, performance optimization and maintenance of hardware and software systems

Provide support including end user assistance

Perform functions such as manage accounts, network rights, access to systems and equipment; maintain systems configuration and backups

Create and maintain documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Create, monitor and maintain backups/restoration of systems and files

Conduct research of new and upcoming technologies

Provide input for future systems and purchases

Demonstrate general knowledge of enterprise frameworks and methodologies

Possess the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally

Required

At least 6 years of system administration experience

Must have a DOD Secret security clearance and have or be able to obtain an SSBI

As per Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8140.01, this position shall require Information Assurance Technicians (IAT) Level 2 certification; this includes both an Information Assurance (IA) certification and an Operating System (OS) certification

The OS certification requirement will be for Unix/Linux or Windows depending on the position

The Senior Systems Administrator is required to maintain the DoD 8140.01 IAT Level 2 certification for the life of the contract
