Responsibilities

Independently collect construction materials samples from various construction sites and perform tests and inspections to assess the properties and integrity of those materials

Document findings and communicate results to project managers and other stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making and maintaining the structural integrity and safety of construction projects

Travel to various job sites around the Springfield area metro and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions

Required

6+ years' experience in construction observation or inspection

ICC, ACI Grade I, Nuclear Gauge certifications required OR a bachelors degree in engineering with EIT

The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Valid driver's license and a good driving history

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Strong communication skills

Ability to contribute and work well on a team

Preferred

Associate degree from a technical or four-year school preferred, but not required

MoDOT certifications preferred
