Director, Strategic Initiatives (REMOTE)

The Director of Strategic Initiatives will lead enterprise-level strategic initiatives and partner with senior executives to shape long-term strategic plans, while also mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities
Lead enterprise-level strategic initiative aligned to Cordis’ “Vital Few” priorities with accountability for scope, execution, and measurable business outcomes
Define project vision, roadmap, and governance processes; ensuring alignment across multiple functions and regions
Partner with senior executives to shape 3-5 year strategic plans within assigned functions or geographies
Drive disciplined execution, including quantitative and qualitative analysis such as financial impact assessment, risk management, and performance tracking
Serve as a change agent: anticipate risks, resolve roadblocks, and enable adoption of new ways of working
Deliver executive-level presentations, business cases, and recommendations to guide decision-making
Provide thought leadership on process improvements and emerging opportunities across the enterprise
Mentor, coach, and elevate junior team members; serve as a visible role model for Cordis’ leadership culture
Rotate across 2–3 assignments, each with enterprise-level scope, to broaden exposure and impact
Qualification
Required
15 years of relevant experience in consulting, investment banking, or strategy
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree preferred
Combined education and experience will be considered
