Responsibilities
Performs and monitors echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound) procedures
Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians
Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram
Qualification
Required
Completion of a formal accredited Cardiovascular Sonography/Echocardiography Tech program
Current BLS
Must be registered with ARDMS or CCI within 6 months of hire
+ if registered with ARDMS, RDCS is required
+ if registered with CCI, RCS is required
Preferred
1+ years of experience preferred as an Echocardiograph Sonographer in all modalities of Echo/Vascular (inpatient testing for neonate, pediatrics, adolescent), adult and geriatric patients
Vascular Certification is preferred
