Responsibilities

Own and lead the approach to the largest and most complex technical problems from technical design to launch to day-to-day operation
Design solutions that can be modeled and used by our customers in production
Solve complex architectural challenges and define architectural standards
Lead code reviews and documentation and take on complex bug fixes, especially on high-risk problems
Partner across engineering teams to take on company-wide programs
Mentor engineering leaders and teams across the Corporate Engineering team

Qualification

Required

Deep technical expertise with 15+ years of experience designing/building enterprise-grade platforms and systems, including any or all of Cloud, Data, Ecosystem, Experiences or Ecosystem platform building experiences
Fluency in the current landscape of cloud platform architecture and ideally AWS stack
Passion for software engineering excellence - design principles and patterns, unit testing, performance engineering, best practices for security and privacy
Passion and aptitude for recognizing, raising, and reconciling gaps and redundant efforts across organizations
Excellent collaboration, communication and leadership skills. Ability to get engineers to follow their lead as well as mentor/coach
High level of energy and a desire to thrive in a large, fast-paced organization; ability to balance multiple projects under pressure
