They are seeking a Process Engineer to assist with routine assignments under close supervision, including conducting field trips, performing process calculations, and preparing designs and technical reports.

Responsibilities

Conducts field trips to existing plants to gather operating data and equipment information

Performs detailed process calculations

Participates in process safety reviews

Prepares designs of specific components and equipment

Prepares operational drawings and design sketches

Prepares routine technical reports

Gathers and relays information between various engineering departments

Participates in plant start-ups

Qualification

Required

At least a four-year degree in Chemical Engineering

A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in Process design or related functional area (or equivalent working knowledge/experience)

Limited experience in utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to speak effectively before clients or employees of the organization

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations

Normal hearing, the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance, clear close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus

Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required
