Responsibilities
With minimal oversight, performs duties of a Medical Technologist
Performs, evaluates, and documents advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving activities; liaisons with clients and nursing personnel, and interprets data for appropriate health professionals
Documents and maintains to a high degree; quality control (QC), proficiency testing, quality assurance, and other records to meet regulatory requirements and criteria of external agencies (ex. UNOS…)
Performs testing and clinical workups within the required time of current procedure/organ preservation methods
Attends relevant meetings as requested
Engages in continuing education, role specific training, and competency assessments to augment professional development and success in this position
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field with valid NYS licensure
Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist post licensure
NYS Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Preferred
Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist post licensure
Consideration given based on individual combination of education, experience, and technical performance
Highly organized and ability to multi-task, attention to detail
