Responsibilities
Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribes safety standards
Selects proper technical protocols on an individual patient basis
Assesses risk for falls and implements appropriate safety precautions
Demonstrates knowledge of fluid needs
Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Ensures equipment maintenance is performed regularly and according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards
Demonstrates knowledge of medications to be administered, including the medication’s effects, side effects and potential adverse reactions
Ability to assess, interpret age specific data, knowledge of growth and development, and to provide age specific care
Understands the range of treatment needed by specific age group
Positions and transfers patients
Assists physician in administering contrast media and practices sterile techniques when necessary
Is familiar with standards of care for ages specified
Maintains adequate records as directed
Cross trains in specific areas as assigned
Maintains own skills and understanding in innovations in techniques and equipment in the field of Computerized Technology
May be required to train technologists in specific areas
Has completed the Abuse & neglect self-learning module and applies concepts appropriately
Performs other duties as assigned
Practices and adheres to the 'Code of Conduct' and 'Mission and Value Statement.'

Required
1+ years applicable experience required
(ARRT-R) Radiography
Associate Degree
Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR, or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
(CT) Computed Tomography, or (ARRT-CT) Computed Tomography must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
