Responsibilities

Obtains quality diagnostic images according to protocol
Exam orders: ensures all orders have the required 5 elements
RIS: ensures orders are valid and entered appropriately, ensures ordering physician is correct, completes exams with accurate information, documents pertinent information
Follows all radiation protection and dose reporting policies and processes
Maintains orderly and safe work area
Maintains departmental compliance logs
PACS: Scans in and labels documents appropriately, resolve QA issues in a timely manner, ensure images are released to radiologists in a timely manner
Participates in departmental accreditation processes and QA
Ensures venipuncture is performed following all infection control processes and medication is administered to appropriate patients
Participates in performance improvement processes
Transports patients as necessary
Effectively manages problems and resolves conflict in a professional manner
Adheres to the direct supervision of the Radiology Department Director
Demonstrates competency in performance of technical skills
Effectively interjects with discrepancies and/or impaired job performance in order to facilitate improvement and resolution
Assumes personal accountability for work time
Performs other duties as assigned
Practices and adheres to the 'Code of Conduct' and 'Mission and Value Statement.'

Required

At least one year of CT experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
(ARRT-CT) Computed Tomography
(ARRT-R) Radiography
(RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
Associate Degree, or Certificate
