Responsibilities

Positions and transports patients as necessary

Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis

Operates equipment as directed

Practices sterile techniques when necessary

May be required to train technologists in specific areas

Cross trains in specific areas of in-service education

Maintains own skills and understandings in innovations in techniques and equipment in radiology

May be responsible for specific areas of in-service education

In the absence of a Supervisor or Lead Technologist, may be designated as acting Supervisor

Participates in call system

Maintains adequate records as directed

Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in department

Cooperates with personnel in the proper conduct of the department

Rotates within the department by shift as required

Maintains ethical relationships with patients and peers

Subject to rules and regulations of the Radiology department and CCMC as outlines in the respective procedure manuals

Other related duties as assigned

Qualification

Diagnostic Medical SonographerRegistered Vascular TechnicianBasic Cardiac Life Support

Required

Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date

Associate Degree

Basic Cardiac Life Support
