Cytotechnologist PRN
HCA Houston Healthcare is a leading provider of healthcare services in the region, dedicated to improving community health. They are seeking a Cytotechnologist PRN to join their Laboratory team, responsible for preparing, staining, and screening specimens to provide accurate test results.

Responsibilities
You will prepare, stain, and screen specimens in order to complete tests required by various departments
You will perform all tests with care and accuracy to provide correct and informative results to both the pathologist and the department
You will prepare the specimen for staining by the centrifugation or filtering of fluid specimens and by smearing and staining specimens on slides
Diagnoses negative slides and refers atypical, inconclusive, or positive cases and refer to Cytopathologist for further evaluation and the completion of reports
Qualification
Required
Cytotechnologist ASCP certification is required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a related science, is preferred
Minimum 1 year of training in an accredited school of Cytotechnology, preferred
